RenewableUK is the UK's leading renewable energy trade association, representing more than 400 organisations across offshore wind, onshore wind, tidal and next-generation clean technologies. As the voice of the renewable energy industry, it supports members through policy, events, commercial partnerships and industry collaboration.

Challenge

As RenewableUK continued to grow, its digital infrastructure struggled to keep pace. Membership, events, sponsorship and commercial activity were supported by multiple disconnected systems, creating duplicated data, manual processes and limited visibility across the organisation.

The association needed a modern digital platform capable of supporting not only day-to-day membership services, but also large-scale conferences, awards programmes, working groups and commercial activity—all while improving the experience for members, staff and stakeholders.

Wattle partnered with RenewableUK to deliver a fully integrated MemEx platform, bringing together CRM, website and member portal into a single digital ecosystem.

The new platform centralises membership management, events, sponsorship and stakeholder engagement while providing members with secure self-service access to their accounts, bookings and organisational information. A modern Umbraco website gives internal teams greater flexibility to manage content, promote industry events and publish news and policy updates, while seamless integration across the platform provides a single source of truth for operational and commercial data.

The result is a scalable digital platform that supports RenewableUK's role as one of the UK's largest and most influential membership organisations.
